Whatever Happened To:EVANESCENCE

Evanescence according to South park

Formed in 1995,Evanescence consisted of two good friends – now almost enemies – the haunting voice of Amy Lee and lead g-man,Ben Moody.Fallen was the bands debut success, spawning hit singles such as "Bring Me To Life" and the trademark ballad "My Immortal",all in 2003.And leading them to 2 Grammy wins the follwing year, one for Best Newcomers, beating out 50Cent,among others.Evanescence seemed to bring something completely new,out of nowhere, however reminding slightly of  fellow female-led bands, such as,Nightwish and Halestorm(loving their new hit,It's Not You).
After gaining worldwide success, among all cultures,2006 saw the release of the less propelling album,The Open Door, selling ten million fewer than than Fallen.Line-up changes, thereafter caused a hiatus, the band failing to measure up…
However, the sub-gothic rockers has great news: Their new, third album is in recording process, and is scheduled to be released by August, but no later than September, this year.Amy Lee commented on the new wrok, saying it's gonna be their best yet.with the band focusing on improvement, rather than being static. So,the break-up stories weren't completely true!
The current, newer members has come aboard, which should deliver a different sound, but no word on Ben Moody rejoining.Production is being led by Steve Lillywhite, the man rumoured to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol.
What seemed like a solo adventure for Lee,has vanished,as they are already performing together.Unavoidably, there is now a huge hype, creating high hopes for a steady future for the band that is,Evanescense. The bands offical site is Evanscence.com
