I'm a heavy Hard Rock fanatic. You could probably say it's my favourite music genre. The cross between metal and alternative is a perfect combination and there's no other genre with more passion. The very first Hard Hit is actually a song that came out in August last year, already. But,I've only just recently come across it(on the Billboard Hard Rock Songs chart, where its had a steady run)."Fire It Up" is the third single from Christian metal band,ThousandFootKrutch's'(aka TFK) Welcome to The Masquerade album. It's being the biggest sport promo/theme song over the last few months, appearing in warm-ups,video games(including Rock Band-here's a link for the music section on the site),ad's and even becoming the official SuperBowl song, earlier this year. The intro itself is a great, shuttering build-up to vocalist,Trevor McNevan's angry, yet acclaimed first 'I'm caught up…'-verse.The rest of the song follows with great bass, fitting the vocals perfectly. The guitar riffs speak for themselves, almost "replying" to the lyrics. It's a true hard rock 'n roll hit, with adrenaline pumping vocals and instrumentals. The song soars with an end guitar solo, that almost breaks away from the rest of the tune, but strange enough serves as a pressure build-up to the ending.A real favourite of mine. You have to hear it for yourself.Brilliant beautiful!
